The welcome party was held in IDP Brisbane office, our association representatives, Nadia, Note, and Ohp went to introduce and promote the club to new international students.
UQ-TSA got 8 new members from this event.
We are really grateful for IDP Brisbane help and cooperation.
Name: City and China Town Tour

UQ-TSA guided club members to China town and the city. We introduced our club sponsors and guide new students through many places that will be very helpful for their everyday life in Brisbane. Members who went with us to China town also got a free Re-birth Cream (Emu oil) from our friendly sponsor MJ Senses of Beauty.From those three events we have done, presently we now have 90 members (68 are UQ students, 22 non-UQ students).

Free Thai lunch and BBQ for members who joined this event. There are 40 of club members who joined this event. On the welcome party day, the prize for the lucky draw event were Sony Ericsson Mobile phone, Bluetooth, USB (from sponsor Mo’s mobile) and Telstra package (from sponsor Ruan Thai Restaurant) to members.

Venue: The University Of Queensland
This event was run by UQ Union in the University Of Queensland St Lucia. We were 1 out of more than 100 stalls. We distributed our official brouchure to promote our club and gathered more members, and we also promoted our sponsors. Moreover, we did help new students by giving them “New to UQ brouchure” and giving some advices. We made financing in this event by selling UQ-TSA T-shirt.
